The annual call for applications for the following Fulbright programs as published by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. consulate.
- The Fulbright Junior Staff Development (JSD) Program for the 2017/2018 academic year: The FLTA program is a nine-month non-degree program funded by the U.S. Department of State, Washington D.C., and administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE) in New York. Please note that the STRICT deadline for submitting online application and all supplementary documents is October 1, 2016.
- Fulbright Senior Scholar Program for the 2017/2018 academic year: This program, funded by the United States Department of State and administered by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES), offers senior faculty members from universities in Africa, including Nigeria, the opportunity to conduct research at U.S. The deadline for submitting online applications is June 1, 2016.
- Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) program in Yoruba for the 2017/2018 academic year: The JSD program is designed primarily to strengthen African universities by giving grantees the opportunity to conduct doctoral research in the United States. It offers young and exceptionally promising faculty members in select Nigerian universities the opportunity to conduct doctoral research at U.S. academic or research institutions for a maximum of nine (9) months. Please note that the STRICT deadline for submitting online application and all supplementary documents is Saturday, October 1, 2016.
