Associate Professor of Economics B.Sc. (Economics & Statistics), M.Sc., Ph.D. (Economics)
Central Lagos on 6th July 1968 and hails from Ikorodu in Ikorodu Local Government Area of Lagos State. He was admitted into the University of Benin in 1987 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1990 as the
best graduating student in the Department of Economics & Statistics. His Ph.D. thesis, which was very well-received in the academic and policy circles involved, among other things, using primary data to estimate the willingness of youths in the Niger Delta to participate in various shades of civil unrest and the socio-economic determinants.
Oyefusi was a visiting post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre of African Studies, the University of Cambridge between October 2008 and April 2009 during which he researched on “Natural resources and peacebuilding in Sub-Saharan Africa”. He has a deep passion for field-based research into socioeconomic and developmental issues, including modeling and econometric analysis of qualitative data to inform decisions and policies that touch peoples’ lives and build better societies. His areas of research interests include Natural Resource and Environmental Economics, Public Sector and Development Economics and the Political Economy of Sub-Saharan Africa. His current research engagements focus on the provision of public goods/infrastructural services in urban housing estates and Natural resources, Democracy and Public debt in Sub-Saharan Africa.

- Name: Dr. Solomon Ukhuegbe
Dr. Solomon Ukhuegbe is a senior lecturer with the Department of Public Law, University of Benin, Nigeria. He obtained the LL.B. degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, LL.M. from the University of Benin, and Ph.D from the Osgoode Hall Law School of York University, Toronto. He was admitted to the Nigerian bar in July 1983. His research interests are mainly constitutional law and theory, legal theory, criminal law, human rights law, international humanitarian law, and judicial research. His doctoral dissertation on institutionalization of the Supreme Court of Nigeria motivated his on-going ‘Supreme Court of Nigeria Project,’ an unprecedented large scale research, to code the output of the Supreme Court since 1956. His most recent publications include studies of recruitment and tenure of justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, jurisdictional reform of the Court, death penalty in Nigeria, constitutional amendment, emergency powers, constitutional rights, international law, violence against women, and many others. He is about completing a definitive study on constitutional theory, Constitutional Theory and Methodology.

Prof. (Mrs.) Ayebo Evawere SADOH is a Consultant Paediatrician and a professor in the Institute of Child Health, University of Benin. She is the Director of the Institute of Child Health.
She is also an Honorary Consultant paediatrician (paediatric infectious diseases) to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital. As part of continuing professional development she participated in a 3-month observership programme in Paediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Children’s Hospital and Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska May 12th to August 11th 2014.

He obtained first and second degrees in Fine and Applied Arts specializing in Ceramics from the University of Benin, PhD in Studio Art (Ceramics) from Delta State University, Abraka. He teaches Ceramic Art, Studio Art Development, research Supervision and engages in community development. He had taken part in various group exhibitions within the nation and holds a number of publications to his recognition. He belongs to a number of professional bodies such as: Society of Nigeria Artist (SNA) and currently the National Vice-President of Ceramic Researchers Association of Nigeria (CeRAN).

He was a Chief Research Officer at the National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI), Vom, Nigeria before joining the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria.

Dr Stephena Udinmade Ighedosa is a Distinguished Pioneer, Foundation Student and the First Female Medical Graduate of the University of Benin, Benin City (1976).
