I am writing to share the mobility scheme, an opportunity I wouldn’t want us to miss out on. The deadline for this call is 15 June 2016. This is a great opportunity to boost intra-Africa collaborations.

Multidisciplinary and inter-disciplinary research groups are encouraged to apply for this grant.

Below is a summary of this call.

The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency invites applications for its intra-Africa academic mobility scheme. This programme aims to improve the skills and competences of students and staff through enhanced intra-African mobility and to promote sustainable development and ultimately contribute to poverty reduction by increasing the availability of trained and highly qualified professional manpower in Africa. More specifically this call aims to:

•contribute to the improvement of the quality of higher education through the promotion of internationalization and harmonization of programmes and curricula within participating institutions;

•enable students, academics and staff to benefit linguistically, culturally and professionally from the experience gained in the context of mobility to another African country.

A consortium of a minimum of four and a maximum of six African HEIs and one technical partner from the EU may apply. Eligible applicants and partners are HEIs registered in Africa that provide courses at postgraduate level leading to a qualification recognized by the competent authorities in their own country.
