41st Convocation Press Conference
The Vice-Chancellor arranged a Press briefing for the gentlemen of the press to convey the arrangements that has been put in place for the upcoming Convocation Ceremony.

Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof F.F.O Faraday Orumwense FNSE, announced that the activities of the institution’s 41st Convocation and its 45th founder’s day Celebration would begin on Monday and end on Nov 28th 2015.
Prof F.F.O Orumwense disclosed that 11,020 persons would be awarded various diplomas and degrees of the University during the Convocation. He said that the institution would also award 268 Diplomas, 541 post Graduate Diplomas, 2, 212 Masters Degrees and 382 doctorates. The Vice-Chancellor made it known at the news briefing that the Ceremony would also feature the formal installation of AIhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Emir of kano, as the 9th Chancellor of the institution.
The Principal Officers of the University of Benin were also present at the news briefing.
Also present was the Registrar of the University Mrs .A.O. OSHODIN. The Deans of the Faculties were also present, the committee members, and the press.
The Vice-Chancellor Prof Orunwense also disclosed that honorary degrees would be conferred on two distinguished Nigerials, the Inspector General of police, Mr Solomon Arase and Prof. Osato Giwa-Osagie, for their contributions towards nation building.

UNIBEN PRODUCES 64 FIRST CLASS GRADUATES.
Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin prof .FF.O Faraday Orumwense, made it known at the news briefing that 64 out of 6,000 first degree graduates it produced in 2013/2014 academic session came out in first class category.
