The Department of Microbiology in the Faculty of Life Sciences,University of Benin holds its first Training/Workshop for staff and students from today the 2nd to 4th November, 2016 at the 218 Lecture Theatre of the Faculty. The event tagged “Fundamentals and Application of molecular Biology Techniques; the role of Microbiologists” was delivered by a guest speaker, Prof. Mirabeau S. Tatfeng from Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State under the distinguished chairmanship of Prof F.F.O Orumwense(FNSE), Vice Chancellor, University of Benin, Benin City. Part of events for today was an interactive session between the Lecturers, Lab technologists and students of the Department. Thereafter, the Resource person, Prof Tatfeng gave his brief lecture. The programme for today was concluded with a Technical Session which took place at the Departmental Laboratory.
Day 2 of the Continuous professional Development programme (CDP) presented the third edition organized by the School Of Basic Medical Science .the lectured/workshop titlied: Immunology and the “Compromised Environment” Implication for Nigerians by Dr.Evarista Osime from the department of medical laboratory science.
