The 2016/2017 matriculation ceremony of the University of Benin with its attendant glamour took place on Friday 3rd 2107, at the Akin Deko Auditorium with the new intakes holding processions from their different faculties to the venue. Before the arrival of the Vice Chancellor’s procession, the students were given a brief talk by Professor Mike Omoigberale.
The matriculation oath administered on the students was brief and all embracing. Hence, managerial responses to demands of health care organizations require continuous updating of practitioner’s knowledge and work behavior in line with evolving theories, practices and techniques. The overall goal is to make Health and Nurse administrators assume a better work role and hence assure improve productivity and better employee commitment, job satisfaction and overall work-life congruence. It is to this end, that the course on strategic health care management is designed to provide an enriching learning experience to update the skills and competence of health, Nurse and other health care practitioners to enable them cope with the onerous demands of managing the human, material, financial and physical resources for effective health care delivery in the post-2015 development era.
