Prof. J.O. Igene wins the first UNIBEN Distinguished Research and Innovative Achievement Award (DRIAA)

Prof JO Igene received the first University of Benin’s 2016 Distinguished Research and Innovative Achievement Award on Thursday 23rd November.

The Food Science Professor was presented the prestigious honor, which includes a certificate and a personal plaque, during the University’s 42nd Convocation Ceremonies (Founder’s Day).

Royal Society for Africa Prize- call for nomination

Academic staff in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biomedical and Medical Sciences are encouraged to apply for the 2017 Royal Society Africa Prize. This Award recognizes research scientists based in Africa who are making an innovative contribution to the biological sciences, including basic medical science, which contributes significantly to capacity building in Africa. The recipient will receive a research grant of £11,000 and a personal prize of £1,000.

Call for Applications for the Short Term Visiting Scholar Program for 2017

The Vice Chancellor Prof FFO Orumwense (FNSE) is pleased to announce the call for applications for the 2017 short-term visiting scholars program at Michigan State University under the feed the Future Nigeria Agricultural Policy Project funded by USAID Nigeria Mission. It covers stipends for 3months for M.Sc, and upto 9 months for PhD.
