Day 2 of the Continuous professional Development programme (CDP) presented the third edition organized by the School Of Basic Medical Science .the lectured/workshop titled: Immunology and the “Compromised Environment” Implication for Nigerians By Dr.Evarista Osime from the department of medical laboratory science
She said man activities upon the earth surface has a great impact of society norms; she further explain the impact of how education has led to late marriage, fewer family members, early child training and eating habit.
Environmental pollutant does don’t recognized boundaries i.e they are trans boundaries. in a compromised environment in other to develop and implement an effective International policy for pollutant management .it is important for other factor to understand their Decomposition mechanism. She also highlighted on house Air Pollutant (HAP) as an important environment Risk factor. Pollutant does not only cause physical disabilities but also psychological and Behavioural disorder in people.
Finally it has been seen that a lot of pathologies that we experience today is done to man’s activities either deliberately or unconsciously on the ecosystem.
Second lecture titled: Genommics,Proteomics and Metabolimic and the disease Triangle By Olutayo Fedayo Ajayi Phd.FMLSCN .
Genomic is all we have in the gene, in 1970 DNA was the most difficult cellular molecule for biochemist to analyse that the chromosome is an organized structure
of DNA and protein that are found in the cell. A gene is a specific sequence of DNA and is
actually the functional unit of inheritance. The DNA contain certain change that takes place in a cell replication comes from the DNA.
