Dr. Igbinosa- TWAS and IFS grantee

Dr. Etinosa Igbinosa (Senior Lecturer) of the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Life Sciences was recently awarded the Third World Academy of Sciences  (TWAS) individual research grant (USD 17, 730)  and the International Foundation for Science IFS  research grant USD 10,000 to execute some research projects in the University of Benin. Research equipment and materials have been procured and the projects in progress.

His research interest is molecular microbiology and epidemiology.

Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research (PEER) Program with researchers and contacts at Nigerian universities who might be seeking funding for scientific research. 

This is especially relevant to researchers in the area of health implementation science with a focus on tuberculosis, maternal and child health, or reproductive health. Research proposals should align with USAID development objectives as laid out in USAID/Nigeria’s CDCS (https://www.usaid.gov/nigeria/cdcs).
