CEFPADS HOLDS FIRST IN-HOUSE TRAINING

The Centre for Forensic Programmes and DNA Studies (CEFPADS) University of Benin under the leadership of the Director of the Centre Dr Ediaghae Ehikhamenor has put together a one day in-house training for the members of staff of the Centre.
The Director, Dr Ehikhamenor while addressing participants added that the training became necessary because there was need for every member of staff at the Centre to key in to the vision and mission statement of the Centre as well as to enhance efficient and productive service delivery.
Speaking on the topic; Ethics and Attitude to Work, the Guest Speakers, the Orator of the University of Benin and the Dean Faculty of Arts, Professor Eddy Erhagbe took participants on the historical perspective of Africans attitude to work before the colonization era as well as his personal experiences of the public servants attitude to work and appealed to members of staff of the centre for Forensic Programmes and DNA Studies to ensure they maintain standards of international best practices in the centre.
On her part, the second guest speaker and staff of the Public Relations Unit of the University of Benin, Mrs Ehisumwen Eriamiantoe took time to sensitize participants on the codes of conducts as enumerated in the Regulations governing the services of senior staff of the University of Benin as revised by the University Governing Council in 2017.
Mrs Eriamiantoe implored participants to have the “Big Picture Thinking” that is being able to see the end result and how their work contributes to that end as well as develop a positive attitude to work.
Highpoint of the event was the presentation of gifts to the speakers by the centre Director.
