Two edifices, housing the Materials and Metallurgy Department, Faculty of Engineering, University of Benin, have been handed over, formally, to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Lilian I. Salami.
The structures, comprising lecture theatres, laboratories and offices were sponsored by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND.
The Vice Chancellor commended TETFUND for supporting the University to meet its infrastructure need and also appreciated her predecessor, Professor F.F.O. Orumwense, for attracting the project to the University. She urged the end users to maintain the facilities properly.
The Vice Chancellor also took time out to visit the Institution’s DNA and Forensic Centre as well as the Centre for Maritime and ICT Studies where she lauded the personnel for their diligence.
