The Ag HoD, Mental Health, UNIBEN/UBTH cordially invites the General Public her maiden edition of the commemoration of World Mental Health Day. The World Federation for Mental Health set aside the 10th of October every year for the commemoration of World Mental Health Day. It is a day to raise awareness on the burden of mental health illnesses and to drive positive changes for the mental health of everyone. The theme for this year is Mental Health is a universal human right. It provides opportunities to talk about mental health, de-stigmatize mental health issues and promote a culture of compassion, understanding and support to persons and families with mental health conditions or dealing with mental health conditions.
This year, the Department of Mental Health University of Benin/University of Benin Teaching Hospital shall commemorate the day with a Press Conference, Public Lecture and Free Psychotherapy Sessions. These shall be carried out as part of our corporate social responsibilities.
