The University of Benin had a successful participation at the recently concluded AI Conference 1.0, held on Friday, 26th September 2025.
Representing our esteemed Vice-Chancellor, the Ag. Director, Center for Artificial Intelligence Development emphasized the critical role of academia in driving Nigeria’s AI revolution through pioneering research, curriculum innovation, talent development, and the formulation of ethical policies.
His keynote presentation, titled “Driving Digital Inclusion through AI,” underscored that inclusion must be a foundational principle – not an afterthought. AI holds great promise as a powerful equalizer, broadening access to education and creating new opportunities for rural and marginalized communities across Nigeria.
