Ahead of the mental health awareness programme organized by the Centre for Gender Studies, University of Benin, the Director, Prof. Adefunke T. Adekunle led staff of the Centre on a courtesy visit to the member representing Oredo-West constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Edosa Richard Osaro.

Ehisumwen Eriamiantoe of the Centre for Gender Studies, University of Benin reports that Prof. Adekunle formally presented a letter of invitation as one of the speakers for the programme to Dr Edosa while congratulating him on his victory at the polls.

In his response, Dr. Edosa Osaro thanked Prof. Adekunle and members of her team for the visit while assuring of his support and acceptance to speak at the event.

Dr. Edosa Osaro before his election into the Edo State House of Assembly was a senior lecturer at the Department of Medical Biochemistry, University of Benin.

Members of staff who accompanied Prof. Adekunle on the visit were the Principal Assistant Registrar, Mrs. Tosan Aluko, Senior Assistant Registrar, Mr. Patrick Eganbor, Assistant Registrar, Mrs. Ehisumwen Eriamiantoe and the Centre’s postgraduate student, Mr. Blessed Jatto.
