My dear Uniben Staff and Students.
On behalf of the Management of the University, it is my pleasure to welcome you all to the 2024/2025 academic session.
Management acknowledges the enormous sacrifices by staff and students and commends all for ensuring a seamless and successful completion of the 2023/2024 session.
As we resume our academic activities, I urge you to remain focused and committed to our shared vision and goal of sustaining a world class, students- centred University that serves as a source of pride to all.
In this regard, we need to be mindful of the University’s zero tolerance of social vices that are capable of impeding individual and collective development.
Our 5-point Agenda aptly capture our focus. I encourage you to familiarise yourselves with them as they are the hallmark of our administration’s governance.
For the avoidance of doubt, the 5-point Agenda are as follows:
●Strengthening our degree programmes in sync with emerging national and global trends.
●Positioning the University as an innovative capacity building and skills acquisition hub across professions, disciplines and vocations.
●Paying greater attention to staff and students welfare
●Improving the infrastructure of the University with special focus on multiple electricity access, functional internet service, conducive hostel and office facilities as well as environmentally friendly initiatives;
●Forging harmonious relationships with staff and students unions and the immediate neighbouring communities.
Once again, we welcome you to the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic session and wish you all a peaceful and successful session.
