The Central Research Laboratory (CRL) is excited to announce the launch of “The Undergraduate Research Launchpad,” a fortnight mentorship and capacity-building program designed to equip you with the essential skills to conceptualize, execute, protect, and disseminate high-quality research.
What is The Research Launchpad?
This program is your comprehensive guide to navigating the entire research lifecycle, ensuring you gain a competitive edge whether you pursue post-graduate studies or enter the industry.

Key Program Goals (What You Will Learn)
The Undergraduate Research Launchpad will provide comprehensive training every fortnight covering essential skills to manage a research project from start to finish. Key areas to be addressed include Research Conceptualization (identifying gaps, forming hypotheses), Core Methodology (robust experimental design, ethical principles, and data integrity/reproducibility), Project Management (time and risk management, setting milestones, and effective mentor communication), Data Analysis (selecting appropriate statistics and visualization techniques), and Dissemination and Career (scientific presentation, academic writing, Intellectual Property (IP) drive, and leveraging research for CV building).
Program Format
Each session of the Launchpad will feature a dynamic structure, starting with Expert Lectures delivered in 20-minute focused talks by CRL staff, invited researchers, and senior academics on key aspects of research development and management, followed immediately by a dedicated Q&A and Practical Interventions segment where students can receive on-the-spot solutions and practical advice tailored to their current research projects.
